Issue/Introduction
I noticed that the stdout.log files are dropped a lot on this server whenever I reboot the server. Do you know why this would happen? When doing a stop/start of tomcat, the log file is saved but not during a reboot.
Cause
The stdout.log file is dropped if tomcat is not shutdown gracefully.

Resolution
Shutdown tomcat gracefully before rebooting the system.
