Issue/Introduction

Upgrading Netops Portal from 21.2.6 to 21.2.8 did not convert all tables to innodb when using external MySQL server:

Error seen in post_mysql_upgrade.log:

Cause

The portal services were running when the MySQL server was being upgraded.
This caused a transient table to exist that stopped the innodb conversion.

Resolution

If you encounter the issue above, please open an issue with support.

When upgrading in the future with a separated Portal and MySQL servers, the procedure would be:

      1. Stop the Portal Services on the Portal Server
      2. Upgrade the DB server
      3. Upgrade the Portal server
