Problem ENFDB2-16498:
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
After implementation of PTF LU00181,  DB2 threads may hang.
Diagnosis of the hangs show the task waiting in CASR230K.
 
SYMPTOMS:
DB2 thread hangs
 
IMPACT:
Possible DB2 resource contention affecting functionality.

PROBLEM CF9(XPS)-16214:
ENHANCEMENT DESCRIPTION:
Password length for AutoSys Cross-Platform job scheduling is
increased to a maximum of 32 bytes. Prior to this fix the maximum
password length supported was 14 characters.
 
Note, without this fix the Cross Platform Scheduling Router can
can take a S0C4 abend and shutdown if it receives a Cross Platform
job request (CA7TOUNI or XPJOB) with a password greater than
14 characters.

 

• As noted in the report, neither item has an available solution at this time (as of 3/23/2022). 

  • If you are an ENF/DB2 user, we do not recommend installing LU00181 at this time. A solution is currently being researched.

  • As for the XPS component...If you are an Autosys user, you should not attempt to use a password exceeding 14 characters until the support (ie. enhancement) is made available
