SITEMINDER CA Single Sign On Secure Proxy Server (SiteMinder)

Issue/Introduction

We are planning to upgrade ca-proxy-12.8-sp02 to ca-proxy-12.8-sp06. Can we install multiple instances of different versions on the same VM and switch between them.

Our plan is to install 12.8SP6 a week prior to actual cutover on the same server and have 12.8SP02 live until cut over date.

Access Gateway Registry - /Data/web/soft/access-gateway
Install Location        - /Data/web/soft/secure-proxy

Can we install 12.8SP6 using a different AG Registry and install location, so that AG can be started using the same port numbers with one version active at any point?

Environment

Release : 12.8

Component : SITEMINDER SECURE PROXY SERVER

Resolution

Yes, having multiple versions of Access Gateway on a single host is supported.  A single registry folder/file can be used for the different instances - there's no need to maintain separate registry folders.
