Issue/Introduction

Automic Windows Agent failed to start with below error message.

U02001018 Could not create list socket. Error code: '10013', error description: 'An attempt was made to access a socket in a way forbidden by its access permissions.'.

Environment

Release : 12.3.7

Component : Automic Windows Agent 12.3.7

Resolution

Error code U02001018 which is related to the socket connection particular to the windows operating systems, comes if there is any issue with the communication like a firewall or a security policies implemented.

Restarting the windows operating system may resolve this error in some scenarios, if not than end user should check with their internal network team.
