Job failure with com.jscape.util.l.a.d error

Issue/Introduction

While performing an SFTP job it periodically fails with the error: com.jscape.inet.sftp.SftpException: com.jscape.util.l.a.d

 

Environment

Release : dSeries Server v12.1, Workload Automation Agent v11.4 sp1

Operating System: RHEL 6

 

Cause

The failure is happening at the start of the SSH handshake. It appears that the agent sends the handshake request to the SSH/SCP server, but the server does not respond. 

 

Resolution

Involve your server and network team. The server team can help track any errors that might be occurring on the Agent server and/or SSH/SCP server side while the network team can help review archive/logs for the network/firewall/router between the agent and SSH/SCP server.
