After install GSS 3.3 get ODBC connection failures

Issue/Introduction

Getting an error Unable to connect to Database when starting GSS

Had verified that the SQL server was installed using Microsoft Server Studio Management before installation of GSS. But after installation of GSS getting the following dialog box with:

SQL Server error: 11004
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][TCP/IP Sockets]Connection Open
(Connect())
Connection Failed
SQL State: 08001
SQL Server Error: 6
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][TCP/IP Sockets]Specified SQL Server Not Found

Environment

Release : 3.3

Component : 

Cause

In this case the version of SQL Server Express 2019 installed was an unsupported version.

Resolution

Uninstall all components of SQL Servers Express 2019

Installed the supported version of SQL server

Reinstalled GSS
