After Setting @NX_LOG Not All Logs Generated in New Location

Issue/Introduction

We are trying to generate SDM logs in a new location using the @NX_LOG option in nx.env

We updated @NX_LOG in nx.env and nx.env_nt.tpl, restarted services, and only saw pdm_tomcat logs generated in the new location.

Environment

Release : 17.3

Component : SDM - Logging/Tracing

Resolution

Please perform the following steps:

  1. Stop SDM Services
  2. Take a backup of NX_ROOT/site/shm and delete it.
  3. Start SDM Services

Stdlogs were then generated in the location specified in nx_log.

When changing logs back to the default location, you will need to follow the above steps.
