Issue/Introduction

We are evaluating the use of third-party software in our environment and need to know if any version of python is used by UIM.

Environment

Release: All

Component: All

Resolution

UIM does not use python for any probe or component.

Some portions of UIM support internal scripting (NAS/NSA, qos_processor for example) and python is not a supported language for any of these components.

No UIM components or probes are developed using python.

It might be possible to configure a UIM probe such as logmon to externally execute a python-based script or command but this would have to be explicitly configured by the end-user to reference a third party executable/script and would not be considered under the purview of UIM itself.
