Pre-upgrade information for Security Analytics 8.2.5

Issue/Introduction

Before upgrading, please ensure that your version is not one of the aforementioned versions (8.1.3, 8.2.1, 8.2.2 or 8.2.3). If it is, please apply this patch to resolve the hanging issue during the upgrade process. Once the patch is applied, you should be able to upgrade without any issues.

Resolution

To download the patch, you will need your license key, which will function as both the username and the password.  Download the nsr823-upgrade-update.zip file and copy it to the /home directory on the appliance.

As root, run the following commands:

1. cd /home
2. mkdir -p nsr
3. Download the file nsr823-upgrade-update.zip and copy to the /home/nsr directory
4. cd /home/nsr
5. unzip nsr823-upgrade-update.zip
6. bash ./nsr823-upgrade-update.sh

Perform the upgrade to 8.2.5 as normal.

 

Note:  You can get the  License Key with the following steps.

• To find your original License Key: 
  a. Viewing Settings > Upgrade > Username (before the extra junk characters)
  b. By command line: echo "select * from meta" | su - postgres -c 'psql dsweb' | grep licenseKey
