Failed to Download Artifact to Retrieval Agent - returned 404

Issue/Introduction

The deployment fails with the following error while trying to "Distribute to execution server": 

Failed to download artifact [Artifact [<artifactDefinition> <artifactVersion>]] to retrieval agent [<artifactRetrievalAgentName>]. Local agent error is [Retrieval action failed - Http Get request from url [<artifact Http Url>] returned [404] while expected value between 200-299.]

Release : 6.7

Component : CA RELEASE AUTOMATION Data Management SERVER

Cause

Manually accessing the <artifact Http Url> confirmed that the HTTP artifact was not available. It returns the same 404 as the error displayed in Nolio.

 

Resolution

Work with your AppDev or Repository admins to fix the problems with getting the artifacts made available via the Repository server.
