Issue/Introduction

For current EEM install, all folder drives were changed from the default C: to F:

Trying to upgrade to EEM 12.6.3.

Pre-Installation Summary screen lists all folders on F: drive except for Shared Components Folder.

It shows C:\Program Files\CA\SC instead of F:\Program Files\CA\SC.

How to keep this folder on F: drive?

Environment

Embedded Entitlements Manager 12.6.3

All Supported Windows Operating Systems

Resolution

Currently, CAPKI has a limitation where it will always install in C:\Program Files\CA\SC\CAPKI

This is a known limitation that will be addressed in a future EEM release

Workaround:

1.  Upgrade EEM to 12.6.3.0

2.  Restart the server

3.  Via REGEDIT, change the registry for CAPKI5 from C:\Program Files\CA\SC\CAPKI to F:\Program Files\CA\SC\CAPKI (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ComputerAssociates\Shared\CAPKI5)

4.  Manually create folder F:\Program Files\CA\SC\CAPKI

5.  Copy the CAPKI5 folder from C:\Program Files\CA\SC\CAPKI to F:\Program Files\CA\SC\CAPKI

6.  Rename C:\Program Files\CA\SC\CAPKI to CAPKI_obsolete

7.  Restart the EEM itechpoz and igateway services

8.  Login the EEM UI for confirmation

9.  Access an application that uses EEM for authentication (i.e. ITAM or SDM) for confirmation

10.  Delete the C:\Program Files\CA\SC\CAPKI_obsolete folder
