Issue/Introduction

We have a HA environment to ensure data flow continuity if the primary hub goes down and have UIM integrated with OI with the oi_connector.

Can we expect any data loss on OI when a HA failover occurs during a Disaster Recovery (DR)?

Environment

Release : 20.3

Component : CA DOI OI CONNECTOR

Resolution

Once HA failover starts, the data would continue to be received in the HA hub queues to ensure the continuity of the workflow.

However, the Data accumulated locally on the primary that remained unprocessed, won't be processed until that Hub comes back online.

There is a retention period configured for queues ( default is 2 Hours). The data would be read by the oi_connector only if the data is within the last 2 hours. So any data lying in the Primary Hub queue would not be sent to OI if the switch over happens after 2 Hours.
