Issue/Introduction

During SYSVIEW startup or when using one of the SYSVIEW commands that deal with USS part there is a possible error message.  Reason code might be different based on what activity was taken. 

GSVX998E (MAIN) USS$035E BPX1SDD (set_dub_default) failed, reason JRSafNoGid (253 x'FD')

Cause

The USS$035E message is indicating that SYSVIEW has an authorization problem for OMVS or the security ID used by SYSVIEW is defined for OMVS but it might not have a home directory.

Resolution

The SYSVIEW address space needs to run with a UID(0) and a home directory of /. (a slash and a period).
