Issue/Introduction

We have two metrics CBS Ind Concurrent user and CBS Concurrent user which is the sum of individual metrics.
I do not understand this when the time difference between Actual Start Timestamp and Actual End Timestamp is 15 seconds, then logic works and the sum of the integer value of both the metrics is matched but when the same time difference is of 1 minute then logic does not work and does not even match the sum of integer values.

Please check once why this is happening and how can we get the old data i.e. 1 week old data with a difference of 15 seconds between Actual Start Timestamp and Actual End Timestamp.

Its showing of 1 min difference only between Actual Start Timestamp and Actual End Timestamp.

Environment

Release : 10.7.0

Component : Introscope

Resolution

Its working as designed. The calculator is configured as "Interval counter" where as the metric grouping is treating them as "Counter" for aggregation logic.

Refer https://techdocs.broadcom.com/us/en/ca-enterprise-software/it-operations-management/application-performance-management/10-7/administrating/manage-metric-data-by-using-management-modules/create-and-edit-calculators.html this documentation for aggregation logic for different types of metric types.

When data is exported from metric grouping it is aggregated as counter type which is nothing but taking Max value as aggregated value. Where as the calculator metric is summing all the values during that interval.
