Allow Grid Editing active after adding attribute to a view

Issue/Introduction

After adding fields on an object list view (like Project List View), the "Allow Grid Editing" option is enabled by default. This is the case in both the global view settings or the personalized user settings.

Resolution

This behavior is working as designed.

This is not an effective method to prevent an attribute from being modified. A user will be able to change the value of "Allow Grid Editing" when personalizing a portlet. Secure Subpages / Attribute Value Protection settings and/or rights for the object/instances should be used instead.
