SYSIN01 parameters for SMS and PDSE Data Sets

  • DATACLAS - The data class to use when allocating a new SMS-managed data set.
  • MGMTCLAS - The management class to use when allocating a new SMS-managed data set.
  • STORCLAS  - The storage class to use when allocating a new SMS-managed data set.
  • DSNTYPE    - The data set type definition - either LIBRARY or PDS.
  • PROGLIB    - The data set is a PDSE program library.

NOTE: If you do not specify these values for the transfer, CA XCOM on the remote will use the defaults below when creating a dataset.

Config Member or Legacy Default Options Table Parameters for z/OS SMS and PDSE Data Sets

  • LDATACLS  - The data class to use when allocating a new SMS-managed data set.
  • LMGMTCLS - The management class to use when allocating a new SMS-managed data set.
  • LSTORCLS - The storage class to use when allocating a new SMS-managed data set.
  • LDSNTYPE - The data set type - either LIBRARY or PDS

NOTE: If the remote partner did not specify these values for the transfer, XCOM will use these defaults when creating a dataset on the local machine.
