Whitelist files from download policy and scanning

Issue/Introduction

A file known to be safe is detected as malicious by a file scanner or the file type is misidentified.  You want to whitelist the file from download policy and scanning.

Environment

This solution only applies to traffic matching an Inspect verdict.

Traffic matching an Isolate verdict will not match this whitelist.

Resolution

A whitelist can be used to override file-type misidentification or false positive detections.

1. Navigate to Profiles > Download Profiles and click the pencil icon on the download profile you wish to edit.
   
   
2. Select the File Types tab.
   
   
3. Open the Inspect Advanced Settings.
   
   
4. Click on the Content-Scanning Whitelisted Destinations list.  Note: This is a shared list, so editing it here will affect all download profiles.
   
   
   
   
5. Add the file destination to the list.
   
   
   
   
6. Update and Push Settings to the gateways.
