Issue/Introduction

What is needed to do when we receive error CALR824E and abend U3000 after applying maintenance to Common Services?

Resolution

This document applies only to Earl programs compiled with the SAVE option when applying maintenance.

 

Programs compiled with the SAVE option are run with JCL cards EXEC  PGM=

 

The best practice is to recompile all Earl programs that use the SAVE option.

 

If the best practice is not an option and errors begin to appear after maintenance is applied, recompile the Earl program using the SAVE option to regenerate the program to include the new maintenance.
