ACF2 Where does Encryption take place for IDS

Issue/Introduction

Where does the encryption take place.

It is taking longer time even for creating new ids like below command

 

INSERT USING(XXXXXXXX) XXXXXXXX NAME(XXXXXXXX) PHONE(XXXXXXXX) PASSWORD(XXXXXXXX) PWPHRASE(XXXXXXXX)

Environment

Release : 16.0

Component : ACF2 for z/OS

Resolution

The encryption is taking place in the user address space.
There is a setting of ICSF in the GSO(OPTS) record - but this does not include password encryption.
