Following sysparm options are in use:

'VSALOSHRY'
'VSAMSUPPY'
'VSARCAIXY'
'VSVERIFYA'

the mentioned VSAM data set is only being read and is not being written to.

Environment

Component : Disk Backup and Restore

Resolution

Setting the VSSYSVER to (Y) will allow the VSAM data sets to be backed up.

Additional Information

If the sysparm VSSYSVER is 'N' then Disk will set a flag indicating to z/OS that VSAM data sets are "not properly closed", an implicit VERIFY will not to done during OPEN.
