MSP slowness when saving

Issue/Introduction

There are performance issues when trying to save an MPP file to Clarity via the MSP Integration addin. Save may take over 30 minutes.

 

Environment

Release : 16.0.0

Cause

The logDirectory and tmpDirectory values are configured to point to a network share, which increases the save time performance.

Resolution

From your desktop launch Regedit.

Browse to: Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Niku\MSPInterface

Review the values for logDirectory and tmpDirectory. Changing the values to the local PC may improve performance if there's a network restriction issue involved.
