ADSVS064 2514-2515 BACKUP VSAM Endevor Elibs after SO15078

Issue/Introduction

After apply of latest maintenance (including SO15078), the BACKUP of some VSAM Endevor BASE/DELTA Elibs fails with the below messages:

 

ADSVS064 2514 THE FOLLOWING CLUSTER HAS BEEN VERIFIED BY CA DISK PROCESSING: PRD.CHANGE.BV.SP.SOURCEBT.DELTA                        
ADSVS064 2515 THE FOLLOWING CLUSTER COULD NOT BE OPENED AFTER A VERIFY - DATA SET BYPASSED: PRD.CHANGE.BV.SP.SOURCEBT.DELTA         
ADSVS060 0394 PRD.CHANGE.BV.SP.SOURCEBT.DELTA WAS NOT ARCHIVED DUE TO PREVIOUS ERROR

Cause

The problem is caused by the fact that in some cases the  Endevor Delta files (ELIBs) can remain opened and an IDCAMS VSAM VERIFY should be done as part of the OPEN processing.

Resolution

DISK allows to perform this activity by setting the SYSPARM named VSSYSVER to Y (the default is N).
