Resolution

looking in our docs we found this:

Cube Browser Support for Microsoft Internet Explorer 11 Credential Provider Cube supports Microsoft Internet Explorer 11 with the following registry setting: Navigate to the following location: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\MAIN\FeatureControl\FEATURE_BROWSER_EMULATION Add cube.exe and set the value to 11001.

 

Emulating IE11 resolves this security restriction.
