How does Detector for Db2 for z/OS (PDT) execute on a zIIP processor when collecting statistics for zIIP eligible SQL statements or native stored procedures?

Resolution

Detector wrappers the Db2 code executing the SQL, collects statistics before and after the execution of the SQL, and then computes the resource cost of the SQL.
Because of the manner in which Detector gains control, if the SQL is scheduled to execute on a zIIP then the Detector code is also executing on the zIIP.
