Data Source Under Maintenance

Issue/Introduction

What does it mean when a data source is under maintenance.

No administrative actions were performed on NFA last night, however the datasource was marked as under maintenance. 

 

The following was seen in the DMService.log

Environment

Dx NetOps Performance Management any version

Cause

Data Source Unavailable

Resolution

In this case the data source (NFA) was unavailable.

Result status: {ERROR_SOURCE_UNAVAILABLE}

However, the status comes from the data source and we store it until the next sync happens.  So to further understand why the data source went into maintenance the data source logs would need to be examined for the same time period as the entry seen in the DMService.log
