Are there any problems to use ADRDSSU to backup/restore BDAM Masterfile ?

Resolution

DFDSS to specify ALLDATA(*) and ALLEXCP can be used to copy a BDAM Masterfile to DISK as long as the file size is not expanded. 

However, if an error occurs in accessing the master file restored by ADRDSSU, there are no ways to recover the file other than using BACKUP/RESTORE by Librarian.

Using Librarian BACKUP/RESTORE is strongly recommended.
