Check the Expiration Date of the DCS Agent Certificate

Issue/Introduction

You have a DCS manager environment and want to know the expiration date of the Agent certificates that are in use

Resolution

Steps to check the DCS agent certificate expiration date:

1. Navigate to the location of the agent-cert.ssl on the DCS manager (typically, \Program Files (x86)\Symantec\Data Center Security Server\Server)

2. Copy the agent-cert.ssl file to another location

3. Rename the copied agent-cert.ssl to agent-cert.cer

4. Right-click on the agent-cert.cer file and choose "Open"

 

5. This should open a "Certificate" window and the dates the certificate are valid to/from will be displayed on the "General" tab:
