Issue/Introduction

After upgrade from 21.2.1 to 21.2.6 on Jan 21 2022, for devices modeled after that date, there is an extra "/" in the SNMPv3 User ID

Extra "/" does not impact Spectrums ability to Poll.

Environment

Release : 21.2.6

Component : Spectrum Discovery & Modeling

Cause

SNMPv3 context name support was added in Spectrum version 21.2.6. Reference the "DX NetOps Spectrum Enhancements and Performance Improvements" section of the documentation for further information.

Resolution

If context name is empty then v3 community string format - #v3/<Security Level>:<Auth Protocol>^<Auth Password>:<Priv Protocol>^<Priv Password>//<User Name>

If context name is XYZ then v3 community string format - #v3/<Security Level>:<Auth Protocol>^<Auth Password>:<Priv Protocol>^<Priv Password>/XYZ/<User Name>

Additional Information

Please see the "Add Context Name Information" section of the documentation for more details.
