iCSP scanner fails to download AV definitions

Issue/Introduction

iCSP scanner is activated and shows in the portal but the virus definitions are out of date

Environment

Release : all versions

Component : scanner station 

Cause

iCSP scanner station can not reach the Symantec liveupdate server to download the anti-virus definitions due to network configuration blocking the connection

Resolution

The scanner station needs an internet connection and/or rules added to the network firewall to allow it to reach Symantec LiveUpdate servers to download the antivirus definitions via the following server and ports:

LiveUpdate server address: liveupdate.symantec.com/

Ports to open for LiveUpdate: 80 or 443
