Policy and Session Store naming conventions and characters

Issue/Introduction

 

When installing Policy Server, the Database for the Policy Store and
Session Store has a name such as

 SiteMinder Data Source
 SiteMinder Session Data Source

Is it possible to modify these names ?

We have created following database during installation of
Siteminder in development environment:

  1)     Smdatastore
  2)     Smsessionstore

There's a naming convention as per the policy so the database name can
have "_" or "-" in the names.

For instance :

  1)     mySmds-StoreData
  2)     mySms-StoreData

Can the database name have capital letter like mySms-StoreData ?

 

Resolution

 

Yes, Policy Server has no specific restriction on the names to be
given to the datasources.
