Issue/Introduction

We are planning to upgrade our SiteMinder Policy Server from 12.8 to 12.8 SP6. As per the product documentation, it mentioned 12.8 SP6 supports AdoptOpenJdk 11(JRE 11 and JDK11), however as per the documentation the AdminUI installation continues to use only AdoptOpenJdk 1.8 and this feature requires Policy Server 12.8 SP6. 

Since we are using 12.8, it runs on Oracle Java 1.8, so we will have to install AdoptOpenJdk 11 on our policy serves as a pre requisite.

We have below query

Does AdminUI installation package comes along with AdoptOpenJdk 1.8 or do we need to download AdoptOpenJdk separately?

 

Environment

Release : 12.8x

 

Resolution

AdminUI uses it's own java. So,  there is no need to download AdoptOpenJdk separately.
