In-place upgrade of Identity Manager 14.1 on JBoss EAP 6.4 to 14.4 on WildFly 15.0

Issue/Introduction

The current Identity Manager version is 14.1 running on JBoss 6.4
Apart from upgrading to IM 14.4 the customer also wants to switch to using Wildfly 15.x as the Application Server.

Can we do in-place upgrade from IM 14.1 to IM 14.4 ?

Can the 14.4 Symantec IGA Migration tool for Jboss EAP 7.2 and Wildfly 15 be used to in-place upgrade of Identity Manager 14.1 on JBoss EAP 6.4 to Identity Manager 14.4 on Wildfly 15.x ?

The 14.4 Symantec IGA Migration tool for Jboss EAP 7.2 and Wildfly 15 cannot be used to migrate from EAP to Wildfly.
The source and destination Application Servers have to be of the same kind.
The utility can only do migration of EAP 6.4 to EAP 7.2 or Wildfly 8.2 to Wildfly 15.0

However, IM 14.1 does not support JBoss EAP 7.2, and IM 14.4 does not support JBoss EAP6.4
Therefore direct in-place upgrade from IM 14.1 to IM 14.4 is not possible.
Instead, the following approach can be taken:

1. Firstly, do in-place upgrade of IM 14.1 to 14.3
2. After that upgrade Jboss EAP application server from 6.4 to 7.2 using IGA Migration tool
3. Finally do in-place upgrade of IM 14.3 to 14.4
