Issue/Introduction

Is it possible to modify the Database Management Solutions for Db2 for z/OS default, CADBT_LVLSET_001, Coupling Facility structure name?
If modifying the Coupling Facility structure name is possible how to make the new name known to the Xmanager task?

Cause

For the Coupling Facility List Structure name would like to use a name that fits with site naming conventions.

Resolution

The recommended best practice is to use the default CADBT_LVLSET_001 Coupling Facility structure name.
However, an alternate name may be specified in hlq.CDBAPXMP(XMANPARM) or as an OPT override in the Xmanager job parameters by specifying: LSSTR(level-set-strname)

*** Using the default name does not require changes to the PXMPARM or Xmanager in order to support the CF List Structure which is why the default is recommended. ***


LSSTR(level-set-strname)
Specifies the name of the Coupling Facility list structure to use. This structure is created during Post Install.

This parameter is valid only when you specify XSYS(Y) within Xmanager and required only when you do not want to use the default value.
All Xmanager tasks in the same group must specify the same LSSTR value.

Limits: 1 to 16 bytes 
Default: CADBT_LVLSET_001
