Unknown lifecycle events in alarm

Issue/Introduction

Seeing hundreds of life cycle events for an alarm from UIM database monitor in DX alarm view.

What do these mean???

 

Environment

Release : SAAS

Component : CA DOI NOTIFICATIONS

Resolution

This is an occurrence count update which is not meaningful to most users.

OI Fix : Alarm will be updated with occurrence field and the timestamp of the alarm also will be updated.

But in alarm life cycle events, occurrence field update will not be shown. ( Required change is already in production.)

UIM Fix: OI team requested UIM team to consider this as an enhancement, so that only Occurrence update should not be sent to OI.
