Issue/Introduction

In a 20.4 environment, while configuring a MCS Disk(s) profile

despite a windows device is selected as reference device

the file systems listed correspond to a  Linux box:

Environment

Release : 20.4

Component : UIM - CDM WITH IOSTAT

Cause

To list the file systems from the reference device, the OC communicates with the probe (cdm) on the reference device  to get that list.

If the communication is blocked the file system will show nothing or a list that is cached.

Resolution

1. Tests from IM, whether it is possible to configure the cdm probe on the reference device robot. If the cdm GUI doesn't open it might confirm the communication is blocked.

2. Still on IM, check the port the cdm probe is using (port column)

3. Using the port found in 2, confirm the communication from OC robot to that port on the reference device robot is open.

4. Once the communication is allowed, the File system should list the correct file systems available on that robot.
