ACF2 ACF2 - MISC ACF2 - z/OS TPX - Session Management

Issue/Introduction

There is a team reporting that users are assigned duplicate virtual terminals. The ACF2 LID record is modified to contain fields with user's assigned virtual terminals. Should the LID record be modified or should administration work be done through the TPX Admin menu?

Environment

Release : 16.0

Component : ACF2 for z/OS

Resolution

The TPX environment was set up for Dynamic Users. Therefore, profiles are not determined by records in TPX, but instead are determined by site defined fields in ACF2 via the LID record. In this type of environment, making changes to the fields in the LID record is the appropriate way to modify the virtual terminal assigned to a user.

The Dynamic User setting in TPX is in the SMRT "System Features" section.
