How to access MySQL databases in Spectrum version 21.2.x

Issue/Introduction

Hi, we have a Spectrum 21.2.4, and we want to check some details about the report manager database and I noted the access that I always used to login is not working, and show the message: 

"ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: YES)"

I followed the article "Access denied for userid@localhost when using mysql applications" https://knowledge.broadcom.com/external/article?articleId=136793, but is not working.

How I can access the MySQL databases? because I did a test in DDMDB and the result is the same.

Cause

A change in the root user access in 21.2.x

Resolution

On the SpectroSERVER system, open the $SPECROOT/SS/DDM/.configrc file and note the username and password there. Then try using this userid/password to access the database.
