There are some ACF2 messages in the syslog after an IPL relating to GSO records. Are they cause for concern? What do they mean?
ACF79518 WARNING: NO RECORD(S) FOUND FOR GSO xxxxxxxx
ACF79600 WARNING - xxxxxxxx IS AN OUTDATED GSO RECORD FOR SYSID xxxx
ACF7A110 LOCATE FOR LINKLST LIBRARY 'xxxxxxxx.xxxxxxxx' FAILED
Release : 16.0
Component : ACF2 for z/OS
ACF79518 WARNING: NO RECORD(S) FOUND FOR GSO:
These are just warning messages. The GSO records are optional and ACF2 issues the messages during initialization when processing the GSO records to provide awareness of GSO records that do not exist.
ACF79600 WARNING - xxxxxx IS AN OUTDATED GSO RECORD FOR SYSID:
These messages are issued after an ACF2 upgrade and the format of the GSO record format changed with the upgrade.
To avoid the warning message, make a change of any field in that GSO record, and ACF2 will internally reformat the record to the new format; even a change of a field to the same value will cause the record to be re-formatted. See KD Article 26782 for more information.
ACF7A110 LOCATE FOR LINKLST LIBRARY:
This message is a warning message to notify that the GSO LINKLIST record specifies libraries that do not exist. An example of how this could occur is when IPLing a test LPAR and the libraries only exist on the Prod LPAR.
