Issue/Introduction

Uninstalling the Easytrieve product, is there a correct process to stop using.

Does the system need an  IPL to remove the license key.

Resolution

There is no official way within the product to uninstall it as such.

For safety initially just rename all the Easytrieve datasets so anyone attempting to use the product gets a JCL error. 

When it is confirmed no access is needed to the product anymore just delete the actual easytrieve datasets .

Remove the LMP key ready for the next IPL when it is scheduled.
