Only the home button shows in AWI after upgrade to 12.2 from 11.2

Issue/Introduction

Java UI works correctly, but after upgrading from 11.2 to 12.2 and starting up all backend processes; logging in just shows the "Home" icon at the top of the AWI, no other perspectives are available.

Environment

Release : 12.2

Component : AUTOMATION ENGINE

Resolution

As this was an upgrade from 11.2 where the privileges did not include perspectives.  These needed to be updated using the following steps:

1. Login to client 0 as the UC/UC user
2. Go to the Administration perspective
3. Choose Users in the left-hand navigation
4. Choose the user who was having the problems
5. Open the user definition
6. Go to the Automation Engine tab, then to Privileges
7. Click "Select All" and Save

This allowed the other perspectives to be there.  The particular privileges for these were:

• Access to Administration
• Access to Process Assembly
• Access to Process Monitoring
