Multiple Oracle EBS Agents on one master

Issue/Introduction

Is it possible to have 2 Oracle EBS agents connected to one Automic Application Manager master?

 

Environment

Release : 9.3x

Component : CA Automic Applications Manager

RA Oracle EBS

Applications Manager  Oracle Applications Extension (OAE)

 

Resolution

As long as you are running a compatible version of OEBS, YES you should be able to have 2 OAE Agents on one instance. It is however, recommended that each OAE agent, which are virtual agents, be configured so they are running on different physical Agents such as the local agent and remote agent. Having multiple OAE agents on 1 physical agent can result in performance issues.

So, if you have a seperate sever in china, you would want to install a physical remote agent there as well regardless or else they may have issues viewing output if no physical remote agent is installed

Depending on the version in use,  Applications Manager version 9.3.x supports

• Oracle E-Business Suite R12.1.3 
• Oracle E-Business Suite R12.2.x
