Issue/Introduction

SEP (Symantec Endpoint Protection) Linux Agent is not using the correct LiveUpdate policy when multiple locations are defined.

Environment

SEP for Linux

Cause

SEP Linux does not support Location Awareness and should use the default location and policies when there is more than one location. In SEP 14.3 RU1 and newer, the agent instead uses the LiveUpdate server as defined in policy for last location in the list.

Resolution

Symantec is aware of the issue and this article will be updated when there is new information.

As a workaround you should put SEP Linux clients into a group with only one location defined or use the same LiveUpdate policy for all locations.
