In the past, you may have applied fix LT01873 to XCOM 12.0.
This fix corrected a loop situation in XCOM (either the started task, the XCOMJOB program or the ISPF interface) when the partner XCOM tried to send an error message (for example, about a duplicate file condition) via an FMH-7 message.
Later on, when you try to apply subsequent maintenance to XCOM 12.0, SMP/E raises a modid error involving fix LT01873. For example:
GIM31901I SYSMOD sysmod1 DOES NOT SPECIFY LT01873 ON THE PRE OR SUP OPERAND. LT01873 IS THE RMID FOR MOD elmname THAT IS CURRENTLY INSTALLED.
How to proceed?
XCOM™ Data Transport® for z/OS 12.0
Fix LT01873 is withdrawn so it needs to be removed from the SMP/E target zone via RESTORE command, and optionally removed from the SMP/E global zone via REJECT command before applying the maintenance.
Then, to ensure that the bug fixed by LT01873 is corrected, you need to ensure that fixes LU02423 and LU03633 are applied, either as part of the maintenance or on top of the maintenance.
For reference, LU03633 installs as part of CA RS 2112 service level and LU02423 installs as part of CA RS 2109
LU02423 is the fix that intended to replace LT01873 but it missed to install the correction in one of the involved programs. This means that the next fix that happens to replace the missed program (in this case, LU03633) needs to be applied as well in order to finish the correction, even though its description does not mention loops nor FMH-7 at all.
