Issue/Introduction

Client Task Server is installed on the wrong drive and the ClientTaskServer page doesn't exist in the IIS

 

Environment

Release: 8.x

Cause

Probably the server name was changed earlier but this change was not applied in IIS.

Resolution

in the IIS Connection pane, the name of the Server was different than the server name. 

  • Right-click on the name in IIS and Rename it to the correct name.
  • From Notification Server or manually uninstalled the Task Server Agent from this server
  • Delete the Client Task Server folder which was installed in the wrong path and if there is any Altiris folder there, preferably rename it to something else.
  • Reinstall the Client Task Server on this site server
