It is not possible to update a view in the Modern UX

Issue/Introduction

It is not possible to update a view in the Modern UX. Instead, a new temporary view is created with "(Copy)" automatically that can be saved, but the original view remains (even if saving with the same view).

Environment

Release : 15.9.1

Cause

The view that you are trying to update has been created and shared by another user.

Resolution

When a view has been created by another user, that user is the only one who can modify it, even with the "Views - Administer" right. A copy of the view can be saved instead (Clarity creates a new temporary view with the "(Copy)" prefix, although the new view name can be modified).

The "Views - Administer" allows users to:

• Assign specific views as default views for all users
• Delete views created by other users

Users can only update views that they have created.
