Spool reports incorrect number of pages for files transformed from AFP to PDF

Issue/Introduction

A report transformed from AFP to PDF is being produced with 5,000 pages according to the transformation report:

Totals for Components     AFP Parser    PDF Generator    

  =======================  =============  =============    

  Total XifDocuments                   1              1    

  Total XifPages                    5000           5000    

  Total XifEndOfDocuments              1              1    

However it shows as having 5,001 pages in the Spool menu:

Resolution

This is a known problem solved by the following PTFs:

For the base Spool product LU05028 S0C4 ABEND - ESFCCSRG +8B6 WHEN TCPDRIV IS NOT SPECIFIED

 For the Java Transformers LU03300 ABEND S0C4 IN ESFD2ES WRITING THE FINAL POSTSCRIPT RECORD

 LU05028 requires a refresh of the CSA modules. If applied without an IPL the following procedure must be followed:

1) Issue the command
F caspoolstc,REINIT,MODULES,ON
where "caspoolstc" is the name of the Spool started task

2) Recycle the Spool started task.
