Trying to give users permission to access the groups Menu

Issue/Introduction

I'm looking at how we can allow users to view the Groups tab.

Environment

All supported releases

Resolution

Access the user's role rights by accessing:  Administration > User Settings > Roles > Select the Role in question > Edit > DX NetOps  > Edit

• To allow a user to administer the groups they own, add the Administer Groups Owned by You role right
   
• To allow a user to administer the groups they and others own, add the Administer Groups Owned by You and Others role right

 

Next, you will need to edit the user in question: Administration > User Settings > Users > Select the User in question > Edit > Next > Next

• Using the Right Arrow in the middle of the window, move the groups you wish to grant to this user from the left to the right.  

 

NOTE: You CANNOT add All Groups, you need to specify a specific group underneath All Groups as All Groups is considered a Permission Group and is Read-Only by nature
