Description

If you are running the IBM Usage and Accounting Collector program DRLCEXTR, you may get Sort error CASO026E EXEC OR ATTACH PARM. ERR.  Analysis of a SYSMDUMP will show two SORT FIELD clauses in one parm statement.

Resolution

If you are running the IBM Usage and Accounting Collector systems accounting package, you may get a CASO026E error from Sort when it is called by IBM program DRLCEXTR. If you look in a SYSMDUMP you will find something like:

SORT FIELDS=(0005,0044,CH,A) RECORD TYPE=V,LENGTH=(006556,,,000005,)  SORT FIELDS=(022,128,CH,A,170,0
04,PD,A,313,008,...

Here is what IBM says about this problem:
"There is an undocumented parameter CASORT which we think will help.
Unfortunately we cannot test it as we have no access to CASORT code.
Please add the following control statement to the CIMSCNTL DDname CASORT".
