EASYTRIEVE REPORT GENERATOR FOR FOR LINUX PC, release 11.6

Resolution

Please see this link for the following information regarding Redhat Enterprise Linux releases which are supported:

So,  Redhat Linux 6, 7, and 8 are fine with Easytrieve release 11.6, the latest release.

6, 7, 8 are major versions of Redhat Enterprise Linux distribution. The distribution is a collection of "Linux" kernel and 3rd party libraries and utilities, which allow one to run the system.  Linux versions 6, 7, 8 (including the minor releases such as 7.7) are supported by Easytrieve for Linux.

The "linux" itself is just the system kernel (aka z/OS nucleus), which has its own version, that is not related to the distribution version.

Easytrieve doesn't have dependency on specific linux kernel version, nor linux distribution, it just needs 32-bit support and glibc >= 2.12.  GlibC is a C runtime library and provides 32-bit support.

Easytrieve officially supports RHEL distribution family, but it works on virtually every Linux distribution.
